This is workshop for those who are ready to buy bitcoin and want to store it safely on a hardware wallet; In particular a Nano ledger S. We promote a hardware wallet for beginners because:

• Bitcoins and private keys stored on an online computer are easy target for hackers.- When you use a hardware wallet your bitcoins are out of reach from hackers.

Because places are limited, this is only for those ready to start their first Bitcoin purchase. Please try to bring a laptop.

Expected costs : $120 for ledger, $30+ for a small portion of Bitcoin. ( we stock nano ledgers but you are welcome to bring your own)

For Bitcoin purchases over $30, please bring 2 forms of ID. Drivers license and medicare card/other form of ID. (This is required by all Bitcoin exchanges in Australia)

We will run these workshops in our office at River city labs on a weekly basis. Given the rise in popularity in Bitcoin and digital currencies there’s a worrying number of scam investment schemes popping up. We are here to dispel misinformation and demonstrate a genuine use case for digital currencies.
