What we’re about

Many renowned poets are dead, but poetry is alive and well.

Let’s get more into poetry by reading it out loud and sharing about it! Bring your favorite poets' works, anthologies, books, or even a single poem. We'll gather at some cozy place, park, coffee house, museum, restaurant, or home.

No preparation is required. No poetry experience is required. All you need to do is read your favorite poems along with others and tell us why you liked the poem you chose. Feel free to bring snacks, drinks, or anything that makes you feel comfortable. We want this to be a safe space for creatives.

If you do not own any printed poetry books, you can find it online at many places, like the Poetry Foundation for instance. Or, just borrow one of the anthologies we will have available and read a poem from it.

If you are a poet, there will be some opportunities for you to share your poems too, but our focus is on already written and published works by other poets.

Watch the movie Dead Poets Society for more information.

Carpe Diem!
