Mortality Movies at Home: It's a Wonderful Life

Death Cafe/Mortality Movie host Gail Rubin invites to come to her home to screen a Mortality Movie. We'll watch a film related to end-of-life issues and have a short discussion afterwards.

At this Meetup, we'll watch the holiday chestnut, It's a Wonderful Life (1946 – PG, 2 hr. 10 min.). Yes, it is a Mortality Movie! Businessman George Bailey, played by James Stewart, faces financial ruin and ponders suicide on Christmas Eve. An angel is sent to help him see the value in his own life. George gets to see how the world would be adversely affected had he never been born. Famous quote: “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.”
