Topic: Shades of Truth - Subjectivity, Objectivity, and the Meanings of Good and Evil
When it comes to politics, religion, and morality, conversations often break down over something deeper than disagreement: we don’t always share the same sense of truth. In an age where media and culture reinforce confirmation bias, even the “facts” can feel contested. This raises timeless questions: Is truth objective or subjective? Are good and evil universal realities, or human constructs shaped by perspective and culture? And if we can’t agree on what’s true, how do we navigate the many meanings of morality together? This month, we’ll explore how different understandings of truth and good and evil shape our lives—and whether common ground is possible in a divided world.
Topic for each month will be decided at the previous month's meeting and then updated here.
Join us as we explore these questions and more in our ongoing monthly discussion series, where we aim to go deeper into what shapes our shared human experience.
