Hi friends - this is our 1st meet up for this group, welcome!

The goal is to better understand the world around us through a historical lens, and build like-minded community in a low/no-cost manner.

Book topics: Capitalism, Imperialism, and the US empire's history of racism and violence as told through BIPOC or otherwise marginalized authors.

We will meet at Convivio Cafe, in Wheat Ridge, on Sunday, March 1st at 3pm. Please bring a minimum of 1 book to share with the group.

Beyond discussing the book(s) we brought, we can get to know one another by discussing other anti-capitalist media (i.e. favorite podcasts), as well as sharing other organizations you're apart of in Denver.

How it works: we will take turns introducing the book(s) we brought for the group, then have time for quiet discussion and perusing/reading of the books. The goal is to go home with a new book that is of interest to you; and you will bring that book back with you to the next meetup, to return to its original owner.

I will have contact cards/bookmarks, to ensure your book gets back to you if you are unable to make the next meet up.

Please note: this group is a safe space inclusive of all identities and backgrounds. Any inappropriate or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.

Thanks and look forward to meeting you!
