Christmas Day/S Platte Highline Cherry Creek Loop - Our Last 70+ day
Details
11:00 AM Fun+ H2-26 (14-15 av pace) Meet Peter Rudy (720-588-3666) at parking lot at The Table Public House, 2190 S Platte River Drive Denver 80223. From West Evans, go south on South Platte River Drive. It is a cul-de-sac the ends a few feet past Table Public House. There is parking in the middle of the cul-de-sac and also at the Table House. We are right on the S Platte River Trail. There is a porta-potty there. Bring water - doubt we will find any on the trails in late December.
The ride will be a loop heading south on the S Platte Trail to Dartmouth, then east on Dartmouth till it intersects with the High Line, then a bit on the High Line to the Cherry Creek Trail. Then north on the CCT to REI, then back south on the S. Platte to the point of beginning.
The route is mostly flat, except for the uphill section on Dartmouth. Total elevation gained is just 600 ft.
The brisk pace will be 14-15 - not leisurely but not a speedy pace. Appropriate for road, gravel, mountain, analog and e-bikes. We will have break midway,
Here is the route on Ride with GPS. The route is also in the DBTC RWGPS library as: Platte Highline CCT Loop PHR:
