"Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" @Alamo Drafthouse Sloans Lake
Details
I'm still in a bit of masochistic mood after having endured One Bad Scene After Another twice! in theaters.
Let's continue that streak with a viewing of Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere! Just in case y'all didn't gather from the name, this is the biopic about The Boss himself. The film has generally positive reviews and it's about making his landmark masterpiece Nebraska (amazing album if you haven't listened to it), with Jeremy Allen White transcending his inability to look like Bruce. I'm sure an Oscar nomination is waiting in the wings. Also apparently the film had some edits to make it less corny AND JAW did his own singing--respect!
I'm not sure how many Bruce Springsteen fans are in Denver, but I highly recommend grabbing the tickets ASAP
Synopsis: On the cusp of global superstardom, New Jersey rocker Bruce Springsteen struggles to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past as he records the album "Nebraska" in the early 1980s.

You know the drill, hehe-haha in the lobby, head to screening, then briefly discuss either at the lobby or somewhere nearby if other folks want to grab a bite to eat.
