🌟 Happy Chinese New Year – Welcome the Year of the Horse! 🐎✨

Join us for a festive, food-filled potluck to ring in the Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year 2026 – Year of the Fire Horse)! This is the perfect low-key, high-vibe way to celebrate with good food, great people, and plenty of good energy for the year ahead. Come make new friends, maybe join in a game of mahjong, or talk about 2025 accomplishments!

Bring your favorite Chinese (or Chinese-inspired) dish to share!

• Dumplings (jiaozi) – classic for good fortune
• Longevity noodles – for a long, happy life
• Spring rolls, fried rice, orange chicken, sesame balls, mooncakes, or any family recipe
• Vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options super welcome!
• Drinks, desserts, snacks also needed—feel free to bring boba, tea, lychee juice, fortune cookies, or red envelopes for fun

No cooking skills required—if you're not sure what to bring, just grab some takeout from your favorite spot or chips + dip with an Asian twist. The more the merrier! I'll be bringing enough Dumplings (jiaozi) to hopefully satisfy everyone's taste buds (donations welcome if you don't want to bring anything)

What to expect

• Casual hangout with 20s–40s crowd
• Food sharing & mingling
• Quick group toast to the Year of the Horse (strength, energy, adventure 🐎)
• Optional: bring red envelopes (hongbao) with fun notes or small treats inside
• Red lanterns, music, photos, and good vibes only!

When & Where Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM, or come by when you can.
Location: Someone's Common Social area with Pool and BBQ pit pavilion if the weather's nice

Free parking on the streets and inside the parking garage next to the building!
