Jack Reichelt, is a sydney-based Software Engineer who joins DevNQ this month as a special guest speaker. Formerly working at Atlassian and Grok Learning, Jack will share his journey building a low-cost housing tool using data from Domain.com.au. He'll explore how anybody can multiply the power of their skills with 'APIs' and turn even beginner programming skills into a superpower!
Renee Noble from Microsoft Reactor will also be joining us to introduce Microsoft Reactor and the ways Reactor can help you!
Join us on May 20th, as part of Digitrek 2022, to hear Jack, enjoy some great food and meet and greet local industry and students. Food and drinks provided for free. All ages and skill levels welcome!

Multiply with APIs
Learn how to connect with, and use APIs to harness the power of other applications and platforms to multiply what you can do. In this talk, Jack will go through a project he's worked on using the domain.com.au real-estate API. He'll show you what an API is and how you can use them with even beginner programming skills. Finallyk, Jack will share some interesting ideas of what you can do with APIs on your own!
About Jack
Jack Reichelt is a software engineer with a varied experience in the industry. He's been a consultant, worked at an education start up, and at Atlassian. Through it all, he's had a passion for teaching, and sharing his experiences, both with technology, and in all other aspects of life. Outside of work, he loves rock climbing, dinosaurs, and his two cats, Bibi, and Artemis.
