Making friends as an adult shouldn’t be this hard, that’s why we started DFW Young & Social! This group is all about making it easier to meet new people, try new things, and build real connections. No membership fees, no pressure. Just fun, welcoming events where you can show up, be yourself, and connect with great people.

Beginner Embroidery Workshop: Stitch Sampler
Pick up a needle and thread and stitch your way through a beautiful floral design in this beginner-friendly embroidery class.
Led by long-time DFW Young & Social instructor Danielle, this fully guided session walks you through the essential stitches and techniques you need to bring the design to life. The pace is approachable with plenty of time to ask questions as you go. Embroidery hoops are provided for use during the session.

Bake or Break | A Murder Mystery Experience

Welcome to Bake or Break, the nation's most beloved baking competition, where the stakes are high, the egos are higher, and tonight someone has crossed the line from cutthroat to just plain murderous. Head judge Roland Graves has been found dead at the wrap party, a champagne flute still in hand. Everyone had a reason to hate him. Only one had a reason to silence him.
You will be assigned a character, surrounded by a full spread of baked goods and savory bites, and given everything you need to solve the case. Costumes and baking themed outfits are encouraged but never required.

Saturday Morning Zumba | Free / Pay What You Can
DFW Young & Social, 2309 Springlake Rd, Suite 600, Farmers Branch, tx, USStart your weekend with music, movement, and good vibes. Our Zumba class is upbeat, beginner-friendly, and full of energy—no experience required. Wellness should be something everyone can access, no matter their budget.
These classes are free, so cost isn’t a barrier, and if you’re able to contribute, your support helps keep them going strong:
- $5 Covers the cost of one person in class,
- $5–$9 Helps sustain our free / pay-what-you-can model and pays it forward for someone else,
- $10+ Supports the space, keeps things accessible, and helps our community grow,
We don’t expect anyone to contribute every time. A little here and there truly goes a long way.
