What we’re about
Everyone interested in finding relief from suffering, developing a meditation practice and cultivating inner peace is welcome.
Meditation and dharma classes are held a few times per week on a variety of topics such as deepening relationships, developing patience, reducing anger, and forming a practice. Although the classes are based on Buddhist teachings, you don’t have to be a Buddhist to benefit from the practicality and practice of meditation.
During this period of shelter-in-place and physical distancing, our classes are virtual and at reduced fee. We also have a donation option for anyone experiencing financial difficulties. All are welcome, no one will be turned away.

Transform Your Life
With Gina and Niko“When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development. Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore, if we want to be happy all the time and to be free from problems, we must develop and maintain a peaceful mind.”
~Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso RinpocheIn this series, we will be exploring How to Transform Your Life: A Blissful Journey by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of our Modern Kadampa Buddhist tradition. This profound book is rich in Buddhist wisdom, offering a foundational understanding of key concepts such as rebirth, death, karma, samsara, love, compassion, emptiness, and the cultivation of bodhichitta. Overarching topics include the Buddhist approach to making our human life meaningful, discovering effective methods to reduce and ultimately cease our experience of problems, and cultivating lasting happiness by developing a peaceful mind.
Classes build as a series; each one stands alone, and drop-ins are welcome.
