What we’re about
This group mainly consists of those around the Xennial generation (there's no strict age cutoffs) and similar minded individuals who would like to meet for delicious meals and have deep conversations on various interesting topics. Xennials are those born on the cusp between GenX and Millennials with an analog childhood and digital young adulthood. "Seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other".
In general, we will meet weekly to dine at eclectic and reasonably-priced NYC restaurants. Dinners will have an attendance limit to facilitate conversation and connections. We'll pick spots in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and occasionally will venture to Bronx, S.I., and heavens forbid New Jersey😜. Meals mostly be family style with some a la carte depending on cuisine and location.
Group SOP:
1. We mostly do family style meals with cost of posted menu split evenly, any additional items, drinks, dessert etc. ordered are your own responsibility.
2. Unless service is truly atrocious, a 20% tip will be added to the bill including a la carte meals.
3. Please bring cash or have a Venmo/Zelle account.
4. Please have a clear meetup profile picture of your face for easier identification.
5. Please add events you signup for to calendar even if waitlisted.
6. 3 No shows and you are out, this includes changing RSVP less than 48 hours before the event.
7. Will contact the rsvp list for confirmation ~3 days before events, a lack of prompt response can result in your spot be given to others.
8. Posted menu may change depending on availability, bad portion size/review or head count to keep in budget. Bring a few $ just in case.
9. For shared meals, please be considerate of the table. Unless individually portioned, leave enough for everyone remaining to get an adequate portion first.
10. Please review posted menu for family style meals, animal/fish based products will generally be an ingredient in most of the dishes. Allergies and other dietary restrictions may be considered, but accommodation is not guaranteed and a full share of the meal expense is still expected.
11. The organizer's has discretion to move frequent and reliable members off of the waiting list prior to new members and those who chronically change RSVPs last minute (you know who you are).
12. The cameras eats first 😜.
