Dining and Adventures is a meetup group intended to bring together adult singles and couples for social activities. Dinners, dances, concerts, karaoke, theatrical productions, bonfires, etc. are events you should expect to see posted here in this group.
The Seacoast areas of New Hampshire and southern Maine extending over to Rochester and along Route 16 down to Hampton Beach will be the primary locations for events. But we are also considering activities in the lake and mountain areas of New Hampshire which may even include overnight stays for couples.
If there is a need to cancel an event due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, members will be notified no later than 7:00 p.m. the day before !!
All prospective members must have a recent profile picture for accceptance into the group!!

There is a comedy night coming up on Saturday Evening October 4 which I thought might be nice event for us to attend. We have been here before and we all seemed to like it, so why not return. There is an opening band playing beforehand at 7:00 and the comedians begin at 8:00.

This month features Jody Sloane, Andrew Della Volpe, and Justin George.
Jody Sloane is a sharp, fearless comic who mines life’s absurdities for laughs, with festival credits including Boston Comedy Festival and Women in Comedy Festival.
Andrew Della Volpe was named a “Comedian on the Rise” by The Boston Globe, whose quick wit and smart observations have taken him from Boston Comedy Festival to stages across New England.
Justin George, with his high-energy storytelling and relatable humor, delivers quick, crowd-pleasing laughs that make him a favorite at club shows.
The opening band, Jam Tomorrow, blends soulful grooves and an energetic performance with their original music featuring strong vocals and tight instrumentation. Expect an engaging set that warms up the crowd and sets the tone perfectly for the laughs ahead.
Doors open at 7:00 pm with live music by Jam Tomorrow | Stand-up starts at 8:00 pm.
You can bring your beverage of choice (BYOB) and we provide a healthy light menu to snack on, for purchase. Seltzers, sodas, and mixers also available. (No “bar” tab.) We have both cafe and lounge seating and a game room.
Looking for a venue for your next event? The Rockingham Ballroom is available for Private Parties, Events, Classes, and Weddings. Our event center is 8,500 sq. feet. The 4000 square foot floating wood floor is the only such dance floor in New England. Located in Newmarket, NH and only 15 minutes from Portsmouth, Exeter, or Durham.

Every Wednesday eve from 6:00 t0 9:00 p.m. , they have quiet entertainment at The Steak and Ale Restaurant inside Governors Inn, Rochester. We have been there many times and continue enjoy many a good times .
On October 15, Irish musician Sean Fells is performing inside the restaurant. Deb and I remember him performing at The Feille Irish Restaurant in Wells, ME. and giving an astounding performance!! So naturally we would like to see him once again.
We will be inside the Steak and Ale no later than 6:00 PM for dinner at a reserved table in the back of the restaurant or up front where we can see the show. Come in through the rear entrance, past the front desk of the inn and walk into the restaurant. Look around the restaurant or ask for the Meetup Group with Jim Eckland

Hard to believe but I see Halloween decorations and candy when I enter stores. What happened to summer? How soon before we see snow?
