What we’re about

A group for people looking to make friends, get to know the area, and enjoy Durham. Anyone's welcome to join, we're looking to help people acclimate to the area if you're new and just generally bring people together here in one of the best cities in NC.

We have zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior, comments, and actions. So, if at anytime you feel as though you are being made uncomfortable during our meetups, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Head Organizer, Oscar, or any other event organizer.

We want a welcoming environment for people new in town, local to the area, and people just visiting Durham. Some wise words from some of the founding members:

The weather has been beautiful lately! Join me for a nice, mid-week walk around Duke wall.

There isn't really parking around here other than street parking, so you'll have to drive down the residential areas and find a spot. Or, you can park on 9th St. and walk over. We'll meet at the main entrance across from the Whole Foods and then will try to walk the loop twice.

Well this is **QUITE **interesting, looks like the Museum of Life and Science is having an AfterHours event that is fall themed this month! Here's a snippet from the website: Enjoy sampling your favorite seasonal brews of beer, wine, mead, or cider! Enjoy fall-themed games, crafts, activities, and hands-on experiments. Find out why leaves change color, dissect pumpkins, and discover why and how the seasons change all over the world.

One thing I truly love? A DIVE BAR and we have a grand re-opening of a Durham favorite, now named The Old North Bar. I plan on being there around 4pm and bopping around the area. Come along and join in on the lovely times. Will update along detail as we get closer and we go along!
