Starting from the Municipal Auditorium at 8:30 AM sharp we'll pedal at a leisurely speed of 10-12 mph for about 10 miles with frequent stops to discuss the history of the area.
Some of the stops will include the Municipal Auditorium, The Art Center, Chidsey Library, The Blue Pagoda, The Bay Conservancy, The Garden Club, the restored El Vernona apartments, Lawn Bowling Association,Van Wezel, Centennial Park and Pioneer Park and cemetery. Lots of photo ops!
BRING: road tested bike (test it if you haven't ridden for a while), helmet (mandatory), water, snacks,spare tube and tools, etc.
When you arrive your bike should be ready to ride. Perform all maintenance, including inflating tires, before you arrive.
DIRECTIONS: From 41/Tamiami Tr., turn west at the light at Blvd. of the Arts, then take the first right, then the next right turn (past the Art Center) which will bring you into the parking lot near the Municipal Auditorium
