Aurora, by Kim Stanley Robinson
Details
This month's meeting (August) will be on Aurora, by Kim Stanley Robinson. This story centers on a multigenerational space voyage and the human and social conflicts that such long term space voyages might entail. It is also, apparently, our second novel in a row about colonists establishing a new civilization on a moon of the Tau Ceti system. This is purely a coincidence, but I couldn't not point it out.
LOCATION NOTE:
Based on group feedback (and Cafe June's unfortunate habit of kicking us out at 8:00), this meeting is scheduled to take place at Micky's Soju House (8450 Baltimore National Pike unit 125, Ellicott City, MD 21043).
