The class combines West African choreography with live drumming from local percussionists.
Classes are open to drummers and dancers of all levels - no experience is required.

Come relax, drum, and dance at our weekly drum circle at Barton Springs.
Things kickoff around 5:30pm at the "Monkey Tree" behind Barton Springs Pool (the Monkey tree is located off of Azie Morton rd).
Bring an instrument or borrow one when you arrive. Hula-hooping fire-spinning, dancing, and chanting are encouraged.

Join us on Tuesday nights for a West African dance class led by Jean-Claude Lessou.
The class combines West African choreography with live drumming from local West African percussionists.
Classes are 1 hour and open to the all levels - no experience is required.
We suggest you bring loose fitting clothes, water, and a positive attitude (djembe players also welcome).

Medicine for the People is a camping festival that occurs twice a year. It's a beautiful community event outside of Austin and allows attendees to disconnect and experience different spiritual practices.The event starts Thursday, March 19th - Sunday, March 22nd.
This festival typically has 300-400 people attend and is a great chance to connect with others in the spiritual community. There will be two major drum circles on Friday and Saturday night.All festival attendees are fed three times a day with a communal kitchen providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for attendees. We strongly encourage you to bring something to contribute to the kitchen.
