Cyndy Paige, owner of Rhythm of the Earth, is a long-time student of Sun Bear's Chippewa Medicine Wheel, and she uses the teachings of the wheel to inspire the circles to create a connection between heart, soul and the natural world. The Earth Mother and the plants and animals we share her with have much to teach us!
"The entire experience of the Sacred Circle is of course...healing. The drum rhythms I teach are ancient, mostly slow, meditative and deeply transformative (the heartbeat for instance). They feel of course, quite shamanic because we connect with the energies of the earth...the animals...the elements...the trees...the stones...the heart of the Earth Mother. We also connect with whatever each circle member’s experience of the divine is...whatever name, feeling, system or belief. Even though I teach from a Native American foundation, it matters not what or who (divine energy) you bring to the circle...all are honored. At the core...the experience of the Rhythms, Dances, Sounds, and Energy of the circle, are deeply Spiritual, and of course a feeling of Unity, Peace and Balance is possible. The space in the center of a lovingly created sound cannot help but heal and expand our hearts. Absolutely no experience is needed, and if you don’t have a frame drum, one will be provided."
Cyndy Snake Dancer Paige received the name “Snake Dancer” from Spirit in a profound Vision Quest experience. She is a Council member of the Buffalo Trace Society. She is a traditionally trained Shamanic Sound Healer and Sacred Drum and Rattle Maker who has extensively studied Earth honoring traditions, in initiatory type apprenticeships, with indigenous elders.

Sound Healing Master Class with Cyndy Paige

Learn the 7 Secrets of Sound Healing (by Jonathan Goldman) which can be used to bring yourself, your family, and your community to healing. Absolutely no sound healing or musical training is required.

Drum Birthing Retreat
Vass, North Carolina, Vass, NC, USA drum is a powerful tool for honoring Spirit and for clearing, healing, and generating energy. In this non-residential retreat, we will use journeying & ceremony to help you form a deep relationship with your drum and ask how it wants to walk on the Earth.
Is your new drum a personal tool, a community tool, or a healing tool?
In the process of birthing your drum, it is possible to experience an initiatory-type transformation & integration of your personal power.Cyndy and Spirit will guide you through all of the simple techniques of creating your drum.
Location: This 2-day non-residential retreat will be held at a private home in Vass, North Carolina. On the Friday evening before the weekend retreat, you are invited to join us for a ceremony to honor and bless the skins that will be used.
Time: 10am - 6pm on Saturday, 10am - 5pm on Sunday.
Please bring your lunch each day. A snack will be provided.Energy exchange: $488, which includes all materials to make a 16" diameter Sacred Medicine Wheel Drum with a Horse or Cowskin drum head on a Canadian Cedar round frame with a beautiful custom beater.
Other sizes and skins (Buffalo, Elk, Deer) are available by request for an additional cost. The Animal Beings and Cedar that becomes the sacred energy of your drum are honored during our time together.Deposit: $200 holds your space and is due immediately upon registration. Payment in full is due one month before the retreat.

Cyndy "Snake Dancer" Paige received her name from Spirit in a profound Vision Quest experience and knew it was a call to a healing path. Snake is universally regarded as a healer and teacher in spiritual traditions throughout the world, as well as a special place in the Native American medicine tradition. Cyndy is a council member of the Buffalo Trace Society.
