Come join me on a guided tour of Magazine Fort in the Phoenix Park.
Towards Phoenix Park's Parkgate entrance is Magazine Fort. Built between 1734 and 1801, the fort served as an occasional arms depot for the British and later the Irish armies. It was a target during the 1916 Easter Rising and again in 1940, when the IRA made off with the entire ammunitions reserve of the Irish army.
The tour will be delivered by the OPW guides service,
The tour will give an overview of stabilisation and conservation works to date and the restoration of the original Duke of Dorset gate.
Our tour will start at 2pm and end at 3pm.
Please be there for 1.45pm.
Address: Magazine Fort,
Military Road,
Phoenix Park,
Dublin 8.

The max numbers are 12 for this tour.

Please only RSVP if you intend on going.

I look forward to seeing you there.
