This group is operated by DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity (8/18/2025).
We are a local affiliate of the international organization, Habitat for Humanity and our vision is a world where every person has a decent place to live.
We help families in DuPage County and the Chicago South Suburbs through offering an affordable mortgage program and affordable home repairs.
This group has been formed to bring more people to our mission of building community, homes, and hope by inviting community members to volunteer with us or attend our fundraising events. We are hosting a Vintage and Handmade Market with Cornhole Tournament at the Oak Forest ReStore on Saturday, September 13th from 10am-3pm! All proceeds for the event will be going to support local affordable housing efforts of DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity.
An event like this has a lot of moving pieces so we need plenty of hands on deck! There are a variety of volunteer tasks available that day including: Polaroid photographer at photobooth, raffle ticket sales, traffic directing, assisting with the cornhole tournament, and more!
This event is being run by our Associate Board, which is our young professionals board targeted at but not limited to folks aged 24-39 and would be a great way to get to know other service-minded adults.
There are 2 shifts available: 8am-12pm and 12pm-4pm.
