Spring equinox and wildflower hike at Penny’s Bend
Details
Celebrate the return of longer days and look for blooming wildflowers with us! The geology of Penny’s Bend is unusual, and supports plants rarely found in our Piedmont region. At this time of year, we’re hoping to catch spring ephemerals like trout lilies, trillium, and (if we’re lucky) Dutchman’s breeches!
The parking lot is pretty small, so depending on interest we might organize a carpool closer to the date.
