We are bringing together Durham Region residents who share a love of food and want to build meaningful friendships. 🍽️
Our meetups promise delicious meals and genuine conversation, with a rotation of local restaurants and cafés to keep things fun and fresh. Most often we gather for dinners, which are a great way to slow down, share a table, and connect.
We also host weekly Get Out! Coffee & Conversation events, a perfect midweek break for those working from home or anyone who just wants to recharge with casual chats and friendly faces.
A few quick notes before you join:

Please make sure your profile includes your first name and a photo of yourself so we can recognize and welcome you at events.

If you reserve a spot, we kindly ask that you honour your RSVP. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in removal from the group. Respecting commitments helps us keep things fair to restaurants and fellow members.

Seasonal Dinner at The Springwood
The Springwood, 1645 Dundas St E Unit #1, Whitby, ON, CAJoin us and indulge in a selection of seasonal dishes! 🍽️
We’re gathering at The Springwood in Whitby - thespringwoodwhitby.com.
We’ll be participating in their signature experience, "Come Over for Dinner." The cost is $55 per person plus tax and tip, and you’re welcome to add additional items during the evening. Please note that this experience requires everyone in our party to participate.
The menu is a surprise, but the restaurant will ask about any food allergies or dietary restrictions at the start to accommodate them.
Additionally, the restaurant charges a $25 fee for each no-show. To manage this, we’re trying a new approach:
- The event fee is $25, payable via e-transfer to durhamregionfoodiefinds@gmail.com.
- If you attend the dinner, you’ll receive $20 back in cash.
- If you don’t show up, your fee is non-refundable.

The restaurant does not have any stairs and there is an accessible parking spot directly outside. However, the washrooms are not wheelchair accessible.

This is our third (and final) stop in the Find Your Favorite This Fall: Indian Restaurant Edition!
We’ll be dining family-style, which means each person orders one or two dishes to share around the table. That way, everyone gets to sample a variety of flavours and discover their own favourite Indian dishes.
Come hungry, bring your curiosity, and get ready to explore together!
