Dutch Angular Meet Up @ Axxes IT
Details
Get ready for an exciting Angular evening! 🚀
Axxes and the Dutch Angular Group have joined forces to bring you a top-notch meetup — hosted at the Axxes office. We kick off with a free dinner and drinks, followed by two inspiring talks:
🔔 Sander Elias — "Signals, watch the effect!"
You should avoid effects. which is something you hear a lot. Yeah, easy said, but why? And aside of the why, how?
In your code you need to react to things coming from (input)signals, and you need to react to them. An effect seems to be 'the way', and is very alluring. But it is not the way, it is a way, and it is a way that is very hard to get right.
In this talks I will explain why you should avoid effects, and teach you some ideas on how to avoid them. And I'll show you some code that is not using effects, and is still very readable and maintainable.
🧑‍💻 Sam Vloeberghs — "Getting the most out of Angular DevTools"
In this session, we’ll dive into Angular DevTools and how it can enhance your development experience. From getting started with installation and setup to exploring the interface, you'll learn how to quickly get it running and connected to your Angular app.
We’ll cover debugging techniques using the component tree, tracking state changes, and spotting binding issues. You’ll also get hands-on with performance profiling, learn how to identify rendering bottlenecks, and understand what the timeline panel is really telling you. A dedicated section on inspecting injectors will help demystify Angular’s dependency injection. Finally, we’ll wrap up with tips and hidden gems to help you get the most value from DevTools day to day.
Whether you're new to Angular or a seasoned developer, this session will give you practical, actionable ways to make Angular DevTools an essential part of your workflow.
