Meet at the picnic parking area at 8:00 AM, when the park opens.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars, water, sunscreen, and insect repellent. (A limited number of binoculars will be available at sign-in.)
This park is a must-visit for birders in any season. Its 1.5 miles of coastal beaches provide excellent opportunities for sea-watching and spotting shorebirds. The 447 acres of maritime hammock offer prime habitat for migrant and wintering songbirds, while a small central lake hosts a rookery for wading birds.
