Dzogchen: Guided Meditation for Freedom of Mind & Heart

Details

Come for an evening of freedom of mind and heart — every 2nd and 4th Tuesday night in Santa Monica.
After four years on Zoom and over a decade of shared practice, we’re gathering in person again — twice a month at the 18th Street Arts Center — to continue this journey in real time and shared space.
Join us for a healing series of every-other Tuesday evening guided meditations, where we learn to open and become aware of our own innermost Heart-Essence Awareness, emerging from the Dzogchen lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
This is not just “mind practice,” but a doorway into living from and within freedom — freedom not only from our own psychology and historic self-narratives, but also from the habitual loops that keep us replaying the same interpretations and expressions.
Over time, we learn to flow through life with the lived experience of non-duality within duality — and duality within non-duality. From an ever-deepening familiarity with our True Nature, there naturally comes a softening of difficult mind-states and a flourishing of positive mind-states.
Whether you’re a longtime meditator or a curious newcomer, this is a space to explore how timeless Awareness, Mindfulness, and Compassionate Creativity arise from the same Open Source.
Meditating in a group (Sangha) carries a sweet collective energy — “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”
Mind Training in the Buddhist tradition is a living practice of Spiritual Growth — connecting with our world in an unconditionally positive way, while also taking full responsibility for our experience.
Unlike many practices, it doesn’t require signing on to a fixed belief system. In fact, the best practice often happens out in daily life, with the very people and situations that challenge you most.
Natural Great Perfection
This deep wisdom and loving kindness only arises when we become quiet enough to let go of the internal chatter — the often ruthless self-dialogue — and finally listen to the All Good we truly are.
All are welcome — whether new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner — to share in this space of warmth, clarity, and open-hearted awareness.
