What we’re about
Welcome! This is a walking group for childfree / child-free adults roughly aged 30–49, although we’re not too strict — if you’re in your late 20s or early 50s and like the vibe, you’re welcome. It’s a space for like-minded, open-minded people to enjoy nature, good company, and real conversations.
We meet mainly on Sundays around midday or in the afternoon, and occasionally for shorter weekday evening walks — mostly from late spring to early autumn. Our walks are mostly in the East Midlands, with a strong focus on the Peak District. They’re slow-paced, friendly, and all about fresh air and good chats. Sometimes we’ll explore new trails together using an app like AllTrails, so the route might change a little — that’s part of the fun. From time to time we may also do simple litter-pick walks to leave the place cleaner than we found it.
This group is for easy-going people who can enjoy a bit of humour — whether it’s dry, dark, silly or sarcastic — and who have a healthy level of self-awareness. If you’re quick to take offence, thrive on conflict, or struggle with different points of view, this might not be the right group. We value relaxed, friendly company and conversations that flow naturally.
Also, a heads-up: I’ll often be exploring new trails together with the group, using an app like AllTrails. So don’t be surprised if we occasionally wander a bit off-route — that’s part of the fun.
