What we’re about

A bit about Eastern Outer Eastern:  At EOE we are about reducing social isolation and improving mental well-being, encouraging a more active social lifestyle and access to support networks. By building a social community of friends we establish a connection to others who like ourselves want to get more out of life. We want our members and anyone else to have a wider engagement with their community.
Some advice on being a member: We discourage the development of exclusive and excluding cliques in our group. We expect members to be considerate of others and treat others as they would expect to be treated.
Advice on attending events: If you RSVP “yes” to an event, please make sure you turn up – or if you can’t turn up then please cancel your RSVP–preferably a bit before closing date/time for the event. We understand things come up at the last minute but always think of others, cancelling your RSVP you can free up a spot for someone else.
Now please do not respond “No” to every event, it is not necessary. Only if you have RSVP'd and then cannot attend.
(Required Legal Stuff: These days its standard) Meetup General Disclaimer:
All members who participate in events advertised on East / Outer Eastern - Coffee / Brunch / Dinner / Movies (EOE) do so at their own risk. Members of EOE are responsible to bring these conditions to the attention of any guests they bring to an event.
EOE offers no insurance or assurance for any events run under this Meetup Group but wants and wishes that members will have a good time and enjoy each other’s company.
Where a members hosts an event where they collect payments or deposits on behalf of the third party as an entry fee, meal payment etc. and retains no portion of that money then any dispute arising out of dissatisfaction or non delivery of service is a dispute solely with the third party and host. Members shall completely indemnify the Event Host from any blame or compensation as a result of that dispute.

EOE cannot be held accountable for any financial loss, injuries, death or otherwise that may occur as a result of an event advertised by the group. If the Event Host is the owner, employee or servant of a company offering services to an event then any claims arising from the event will be with that company.
Members need to satisfy themselves that the event they are attending will be within their physical and health capabilities and take responsibility for their actions. All of that legal stuff is just to ensure EOE can protect its members and continue to provide a social engagement platform. All we want to do is to foster good and lasting friendships and from that a stronger more inclusive community.
