PORTAGE BAY BIG BAND AT THIRD PLACE COMMONS - FREE

Portage Bay is one of the top two big bands in WA state !! (Tickets to the last NYE party where they played were $150) Come dance AND OR listen. It will be worth a long drive. Everyone will have lots of fun !!! This is a cross posted event with DC meetup, come join us.

WHAT: Dance Swing & occasionally a few other styles or listen to the sounds of this amazing 20-piece big band playing dance music featuring swing favorites from the 30s and 40s, including tunes made famous by Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman; as well as classic jazz and pop. If you like big bands, this band has something for everyone! It's one of my top 2 all-time favorite bands playing together for over 25 years.

The Third Place Commons is a great casual place for dancing. It's one of my favorite dance venues because you can enjoy great live bands FREE, select from several good food court dining options, and sit together at a table and still be able to talk with one another. Even your non-dancing friends can enjoy it just for the music and the conversation.

Enjoy Fellowship with like-minded people who 'just wanna have fun'. And if you don't know how to do East Coast Swing, just come and we will teach you!

WHEN: Band plays 7:00p-8:545p only, come early at 6:30 pm for a good seat, have a bite to eat from one of the half dozen food court vendors., visit with us, and make new friends before the music starts. They only play for less than 2 hrs so don't be late.

COST: FREE (dance, food extra, ...smile)

Third Place Books is located just west of the top of Lake Washington, in Bothell.

just 3 minutes off I-5 (from the south take exit 175, NE 145th head east, then left on Lake City Way which turns into Bothell Way NE and curves up around the top of the lake. It will be on your left, ---- from the North take exit 177, NE 205th Turn left under the freeway and follow Ballenger Way, and just before you come to Bothell Way it is on your right. )

or 6 minutes off I-405 Exit 23, at the Bothell Woodinville Interchange, head west on hwy 522 also known as Bothell Way NE.
