Karloo Walking Track to Uloola Waterfalls, Audley Weir for lunch then uphill towards Loftus Train Station. Finish not later than 3.30pm.

Location: Royal National Park
• Distance: Approx 16km
• Difficulty: Grade 3 (Moderate) – suitable for most fitness levels with some bushwalking experience. Features short steep sections, rocky surfaces, and occasional steps.

Starting Point: Heathcote Train Station, easily accessible by train or car (parking available on the eastern side of the station).

Key Features:

• Karloo Pools: A stunning set of natural swimming holes on Kangaroo Creek, ideal for a refreshing dip (!) or picnic. The pools are best after recent rain but can be stagnant or unsafe to cross during heavy flow.
• Uloola Falls: A scenic waterfall and a great spot for a break.
• Scenic Highlights: The track passes through heathland, offering views of "whaleback" rock formations, Uloola Turrets, and vibrant wildflowers, especially in winter/spring.
• Lookouts: A detour off the main path offers a scenic lookout over Kangaroo Creek, approximately 150m above the valley.

• Then continuation of mostly flat rocky heathland bush onto Audleys Weir Picnic Area (toilets and kiosk/bistro) and lunch as we're at the 10km mark now.

• Honeymoon track next (why that name?) which goes uphill and will test one's fitness (not one's marriage though...)
• Having reached the top after 10 - 15min it's an easy stroll to Loftus Train Station.
• Toilets: at both train stations and Audley Weir plus basic toilet at Uloola Camp-site.

Don't forget to take at least 1.5l of water and pack some lunch too.

There is no excuse for not updating your RSVP in a timely manner for those on the waitlist to be able to attend. Accumulative NO-SHOW`S and members who display disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour will be banned from the group. Members who show up for events inadequately packed with essential supplies will not be allowed to attend the event for their own health and safety. Walks are graded according to the difficulty of the terrain and access to exit points. Bushwalking is a skill. Members are responsible for assessing their own fitness and experience level before attending an event. All members are responsible for exercising duty of care for themselves and others. Be conservative for safety!
