Cycling & Picnic at Echternach lake. 71km Total

What we will do together
1. Cycle from Luxembourg gare (front of Police station) to Echternach lake (about 42km).
2. Have a picnic at Echternach lake.
3. Cycle from Echternach lake to Diekirch gare (about 29km).

If we maintain an average speed of about 18 km/hour and have a total stop time of 90 minutes (including 1 hour picnic at the lake), we can finish the ride in 5 hours.

How to prepare
Do carbohydrate loading for 2 to 3 days before the event.

Getting home from the finishing point (Diekirch gare)
There are trains from Diekirch to Luxembourg Gare every 30 minutes. Also, there are buses going from Diekirch to other directions.

What to bring
1. Your bike in tip top condition.
2. Energy snacks.
3. Lots of fluids to stay hydrated.
4. Packed food for the picnic. ALTERNATIVELY, you can order food at Echternach Youth hostel.
