PechaKucha Night began in Tokyo in 2003 as an event for young designers to show their work and has now spread to over 1200 cities worldwide.

We live in a world of borders, whether it’s travel, immigration, or trade wars. But borders can also mean a demarcation of inside and outside, what is accepted and what is not. To go beyond borders means to try something or challenge accepted values.
