This Meetup provides information about public ECK activities in the Hudson Valley area, all of which are open to the general public, who are warmly welcomed to attend.
ECK Community HU Chants
Explore your potential for greater happiness, love, and understanding by chanting HU
It is scientifically proven that there are many benefits of chanting a sacred sound. All are invited to participate in chanting the sacred word HU. HU is an ancient name for God, and the benefits of chanting it include a sense of inner peace, insights into challenges, improved health, attunement with one’s spiritual nature, and a greater awareness of life and love. Hosted by New York Satsang Society Inc., a chartered affiliate of Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God.
The Community HU Chant, which lasts for about 12 minutes, is open to people of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds.

ECK Light and Sound Services
You are warmly invited to attend an ECK Light and Sound Service.
Each service focuses on an aspect of Eckankar, and features a reading from the ECK works, a HU chant, and a group discussion of spiritual principles at work in daily life.
Services may also include creative arts, a talk, or a video excerpt of a talk by Harold Klemp, the spiritual leader of Eckankar. The ECK Light and Sound Service lasts about an hour. Join others seeking to bring more divine love into their lives at this special celebration of the Light and Sound of God.
ECK Spiritual Discussions
ECK Spiritual discussions include roundtable discussions focused on the many facets of living the spiritual life in today's world. Discuss how past lives, dreams and Soul Travel help you find God.
Are you one of the millions who have heard God speak to you through a profound spiritual experience? Did you understand it or find it puzzling? The Voice of God speaks to us today; and you don't need to be a prophet or saint to hear It. You can share your spiritual experiences with others at an ECK Spiritual Discussion forum. Topics may include : Karma, Reincarnation, Love, What is Eckankar, and how to solve problems spiritually.

Discover inner guidance and find divine love.
The gifts of Inner Guidance and Divine Love reach us in many ways. In this ECK Light and Sound Service, attendees will have opportunity to experience the sacred sound of HU, explore techniques to help recognize inner guidance and divine love in everyday life, and partake in a group discussion where spiritual experiences can be shared.

You are warmly invited to attend an in-person ECK Light and Sound Service, titled “The Mahanta: Constant Guidance, Constant Love,” to be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, 11:00 am–12:15 pm. Eckankar welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds.
This service will take place at the ECK Center of Central New York, 206 East Seneca St., Manlius, New York. (The entrance is located at the back of the building.)
Ted Rohm, a member of the Eckankar clergy, will officiate this service. He is looking forward to discovering with you the many blessings of Spirit that enrich our lives.

Come for an inspiring experience of personal chanting and contemplation with the uplifting sound of HU, an ancient mantra that opens the heart to the love of God. Then join in an exploration of the spiritual topics that arise from this inner focus.
“If people would trust their heart and know that if they love God and open their heart—if they love God through loving their neighbor—they would find that God brings help and protection to them in ways that most people don’t know.
“The way to do that is to sing HU to yourself. You just sing this very quietly to yourself or inwardly. You may see the Light of God; it can be a blue light, a white light, a yellow light, or a green light. You can see it many different ways. Or you may hear the sound of tinkling bells, a flute, a full orchestra, or something as simple as a sigh.
