Lakebase Unpacked: Real-Time OLTP on the Databricks Lakehouse
Details
At this Databricks User Group Meetup, we will explore how organisations can move beyond AI experimentation and deploy governed AI systems in production.
Databricks Lead Solution Architect Danny Wong will introduce Databricks Lakebase, a fully managed Postgres database designed to power operational applications and AI systems directly on the lakehouse. Danny will explain how Lakebase provides the transactional foundation needed to support stateful AI workflows and operational applications.
Jarrad Taylor and Claudia Kralik from Skills SA will then present a real public sector implementation built on Lakebase and Agent Bricks. The session will explore a multi-agent architecture designed to support a compliance-driven regulatory process, combining operational data, unstructured submissions, and AI-driven decision support.
The session will include a live demonstration of Agent Bricks, showing how specialised AI agents can be orchestrated to analyse data, surface insights from policy documents, and produce explainable recommendations while keeping humans in the decision loop.
Most importantly, the meetup will provide an opportunity for local data and AI practitioners to connect, network, and share best practices.
