Mt Tamborine Hike: Witches Falls + Chase 6.5km (+11.5km option) + St Bernard’s!
Details
Explore Queensland's oldest National Park on this roughly 6.5km Grade 4 hike to Witches Falls with the Witches Chase extension. You will need reasonable hiking fitness as this has steep uneven tracks, stairs and can be slippery in places.
(The earlier option is to join us at 7:00am we will be walking the Tamborine Mountain 5km parkrun - https://www.parkrun.com.au/tamborinemountain/ before we head over for the hike).
The hike zig-zags down the mountain from open forest into rainforest with giant strangler figs, Picabeen Palm groves and a picturesque waterfall lookout. We then ascend up Witches Chase before returning back past the falls and back up the mountain to complete the falls circuit. We will be hiking for a minimum of two hours with short rest stops. At the end, it's a short 5 min drive to the iconic St Bernards Hotel (101 Alpine Dr, Mt Tamborine) for refreshments, amazing views and social chat! :)

We will stay together as a group and follow the key points of take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints.
