We Hike... to a 4HRS SYDNEY HARBOUR BOAT PARTY on a 52 FOOT YACHT! Read on!

As our two groups have grown to over 5,000 members, I've witnessed some post-hike behaviour that's loose, reckless, and quite clearly out of control.

I'd be offended if it didn't make me so damn happy. You hiking degens soothe my soul. You're my kinda people!!!

Year 2 of our young-pup group approaches, so perhaps we start offering some more lux hiking days out. Like this: We do a... Watson's Bay to Rose Bay hike. It's lovely. When we arrive at Rose Bay, our 52foot Catamaran will pull right in, and we'll have 4hrs on Sydney Harbour to have some fun. Swim. Drink. Dance. And check out Sydney Harbour waterside rather than trail-side.

Now, I'm no party promoter - just a guy that loves to hike with a couple of margaritas in the First Aid Kit. I'm sure we could gather some good tunes for the boat (something tells me a famous "Dutch DJ Frits" would come back if I un-ban him). I haven't priced it all yet, but a mate has given a proper "mates-rates deal" on a double decker yacht with heaps of space. I can't lose my shirt / pants over this, so 30 hikers minimum (bring a friend - would easily get us there). 40 would be great (I'd chip in for some kind of food if we do). 70 is max (perhaps we partner up with another group?). The day would be...

a) Meet Watson's Bay at 930am. Hike Watson's Bay to Rose Bay.
b) 12pm. Pick up BYO booze at Rose Bay bottle shop.
c) 12:30pm 4hrs cruising on Sydney Harbour.
d) 430pm drop off at my local bar, Sporting Globe by 4Pines at King St Wharf to carry on.

Interested? The hike / boat would be $100 per person. At this stage (18 June), this is just "Click 'ATTEND' if you're very interested in this September event."

If this one is fun, we could do another hike / boat event around Palm Beach / Hawkesbury River in February. Loads of options.
