Learn the Principles of Speaking / Presenting (Live and Online)

Details

What are the keys you need to understand to make sure your speaking and presenting does not bomb?

Conversely, what do you need to make sure what you say is interesting, enlightening and useful enough for people to see you really know what you're talking about?

You can learn those.

In addition learn how to add:

- Humour
- Personality
- Content which is not what everyone else in your area would have already

We will also have an open Q&A and might even do some live coaching on a few of our audience members.

Think about it.

How many speakers seem confident of their content but the audience feels... "meh..."?

But then how do some speakers you see may appear (and feel) very nervous but still deliver a great enlightening and even entertaining talk.

So what people say about just having 'confidence', can't be true can it?

There must be principles behind what makes a good talk or presentation which is not understood.

Making sure your content hits the spot, people see your personality and sincerity and adding touches which create energy & laughter with people who are listening are key skills, often not well defined even by speakers who seem to do it naturally.

Learn all this. And never lose it once you've learned it.

During COVID, I stopped doing some live talks for a while.

Yes, I did some online webinars which were fun, but when I was asked to speak in front of 700 mostly successful middle aged 'old boys' from prestigious private schools - I wondered with a lack of 'live audience' practice I had lost something.

But 5 seconds after I walked onto stage again (they were laughing at my content, not at me), I realised what I had was still there. And of course, they wanted more afterwards.

These principles work no matter if your content is serious, online, short, long or loaded with slides.

Learn them quickly and become that person your peers think "Wow! Who is this guy! (Girl!)".
