We haven't done this walk for some time, so we thought it would be a good to re-visit the area for some of the new street art. This walk is ideal for those interested in Street, Architecture and Urban Photography which are all components of Travel Photography.

We'll meet at the entrance to St Peter's Station at 9:00 am and first visit the street art near the station before proceeding along King Street and some of the side streets that have more street art. We will also visit the historic Camperdown Cemetery (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camperdown_Cemetery) in Newtown. Founded in 1848, it was the main general cemetery for Sydney for twenty years with the total number of burials being about 18,000. Many people who were important to the early history of colonial Australia are buried there.

DURATION: Approx 2.5 hours

EQUIPMENT: Camera, lenses. A tripod is handy but not essential for this walk.

PERSONAL: Comfortable walking shoes, water, hat, sunglasses, suntan lotion and an umbrella/wet weather jacket (if the weather looks bad).

DISTANCE: This is a fairly easy walk

GETTING THERE:

Car - For those driving - there is usually street parking or the Sydney Park car park after the chimney stacks.

For those coming from the South or East Hills/Campbelltown line, change at Sydenham Station. For all other lines change at Central Station. At the conclusion of the walk, you can walk to Macdonaldtown or Newtown Stations. Those that drove can walk or catch a train back to St Peter's Station.
