Seeing the Whole: How Systems Thinking Strengthens Agile Leadership
Details
Agile ways of working often excel at improving local delivery, but many of the toughest challenges arise from the wider system teams operate within. At this session, Dr Kate Joyner will provide examples and practices which illustrate systems thinking as a powerful complement to agile practice, helping practitioners and leaders see patterns across teams, structures, incentives, and cultures that shape outcomes over time.
Participants will explore how a systems lens strengthens agility by shifting attention from isolated problems to the conditions that enable sustainable change. The session offers practical insights for women working as agile practitioners, coaches, and leaders who want to influence beyond their immediate team, navigate complexity with confidence, and create change that sticks.
This session is especially valuable if you:
- work across multiple teams or departments
- lead transformation or continuous improvement
- feel the system pushing back on your best efforts
- or want to create more sustainable, people-centred change
We’d love to see you there! Bring your curiosity, your challenges, and your whole-of-system thinking.
