Ethereum meet-up for software engineers and everyone else! YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ethereumengineeringgroup

The events use Zoom as a simple Zoom meeting. This has advantages of allowing everyone to talk and ask questions. It however does mean that the meetings can at times be disrupted by time wasters. To help reduce the risk of this, a waiting room is enabled. Please aim to join the calls before the events start. Please ensure your Zoom display name matches your Meetup user name.

Dennis Verstappen (https://www.linkedin.com/in/dennis-verstappen-57aa10101/) will present a talk on blockchain data:
From MEV research to protocol analytics, Ethereum data needs to be fast, flexible, and affordable. The Neighborhood is a distributed network developed by The Indexing Company and designed to run real-time indexing pipelines on Ethereum and beyond. This talk breaks down how it works, how it's used in production, and why distributed data infrastructure is the missing layer in Ethereum's modular stack.

Cooper Smout will deliver a talk: Web3 enables decentralisation in theory, but most DAOs remain centralised in practice—highlighting a cultural challenge that technology alone can’t solve. This talk introduces Metavaluation, an open-source framework that aligns incentives around meaningful engagement. I’ll share real-world prototypes across arts, science, and Web3, then demo Wisdom—a free app that helps communities surface hidden work and generate interoperable valuations for coordination. If time permits, we’ll run a live experiment to value contributions to the Ethereum Engineering Group and close with a discussion on Web3 integration pathways.
