Nature Walk along Mornington Coastal Trail and Coffee & Brunch at Dreamer Cafe 

Join me for a nature walk along the stunning Coastal Trail in Mornington with coffee, brunch and conversation together at the Dreamer Cafe. We will begin this outdoor adventure by walking through the park to the Mornington Harbour and out along the Mornington Pier, a historic landmark with panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay.

From there we will walk around Schnapper Point and observe the ancient geology and distinctive 'rusty rocks'. The Coastal Trail then travels along the cliff top foreshore through native plants and trees such as teatree, banksia, coastal wattle and she-oaks.

There are beautiful views of sandy beaches, hidden coves, and the city skyline and natural landmarks across the water. We can explore the beauty of the natural environment, with opportunities to enjoy bird watching and photography along the way.

The walking distance will be 8.5 km all up and take us around 2hrs 15 mins. This is a moderate walk that includes a few sets of stairs. We will be walking at a moderate pace with stops along the way.

Agenda

• I will meet you in Mornington Park near the corner of Main Street and Esplanade in Mornington at 10am
• We can chat and make new friends before beginning our walk at 10.15am.
• We will walk down to the harbour and out along the Mornington Pier.
• From there we will join the Coastal Trail and walk to the Dreamer Cafe for coffee and brunch.
• After that we will walk back to the start point at Mornington Park returning by 1pm.

Mornington is located on Port Phillip Bay approximately 65km South East of Melbourne and takes around 1hour 20mins by car.

If you are travelling by Public Transport take the Frankston train line, with trains arriving from Melbourne every 10 minutes. Connect to Bus 781 towards Dromana which leaves from Frankston Station every 60minutes. The bus stops at Mornington Park.
Allow 2 hours travel time each way via public transport from Melbourne.
