Facing Modernity - Degas to Picasso, Shepparton Art Museum

Join me at the beautiful Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) for a special talk, by Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki’s Senior Curator of International Art, Dr Sophie Matthiesson, Facing Modernity: Degas to Picasso, tracing the exhibition’s journey from a private collection in New York to Auckland then on to SAM.

This special exhibition features 37 remarkable paintings and sculptures from the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, many of which have never been shown in Australia before.

After exploring the exhibition together, we’ll head to Elsewhere café for coffee and chat to share impressions and enjoy some good conversation.
