Details

Preacta Recruitment is excited to be hosting our next Meetup in partnership with Atlassian in their awesome CBD offices. Come enjoy some pizza and drinks, kick back and listen to a couple excellent speakers.

Alexander Gorovyi, a Front End Tech Lead at TripAdvisor is going to be talking about Micro Frontends.

Is “micro-frontend” a new hype or a real thing?
What are the ways of sharing the frontend of a functionality on multiple pages or websites?
When one may benefit from a micro-frontend architecture?
Alex will share a story about finding a way of composing web applications as micro frontends.

Jessica Claire Edwards, a UX Developer at Canva.

Have you ever wanted CSS to do something else? If the answer is no, well... feel free to skip this talk! If the answer is yes, Houdini should be on your radar.

'Houdini' refers to the W3C task force that is crafting APIs for providing programmatic access to parts of the browser rendering pipeline it could never touch before!

...huh? For those of you not familiar with the browser rendering pipeline, not to worry: whilst this talk won't be going too in-depth into "How Do Browsers Even", we will be exploring some practical usage of the Houdini APIs, and what the future holds for CSS.

Numbers are limited so please be quick to RSVP and guarantee your spot!
