Women Who Run With the Wolves is a book about the deep, instinctive wisdom that lives inside every woman. Clarissa Pinkola Estés uses myths, fairy tales, and traditional stories from many cultures to help us remember who we are beneath expectations, rules, and roles. Through these stories, she invites us to reconnect with our intuition, creativity, emotions, and inner strength.
The book explores themes such as love, boundaries, loss, healing, and self trust. Estés introduces the idea of the Wild Woman, who represents the instinctual nature of women. Although this nature is present at birth, it is often shaped, silenced, or restrained by society’s push toward rigid roles and expectations.
Women Who Run With the Wolves speaks to the parts of us that may have been rushed and encourages a return to our true nature. At its heart, the book is about becoming whole again, listening to your inner voice, and learning to live with greater freedom, depth, and compassion for yourself.
