SUMMARY
This is the 8th stage of the John Muir Way with a distance of 16km and 25 metres of ascent.

ROUTE
We will meet in Prestonpans at the war memorial on the high street, walk to the Meadows in Edinburgh and get either a bus or train back to Prestonpans.

Join us to watch Scotland take on Haiti in the World Cup on Sunday 14 June 2026—Scotland’s first World Cup match this millennium!

We’ll be meeting at Behind The Wall in Falkirk to catch all the action live, cheer on Scotland, and enjoy the atmosphere together.

Whether you want to enjoy the atmosphere in a social environment, want to see what all the World Cup fuss is all about, or if turning your TV on at 2am to cheer the boys on would lead to a divorce, you are welcome to join us!

Doors are expected to open slightly before kick-off, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. I’ll post in the comments as soon as more information becomes available.

You’ll need a ticket for this event. They cost £5, but come to £9.40 after booking fees, and include your first drink for free!

⏳ The pub will close 30 minutes after full time, so we will have a little bit of time to say our cheerio's before heading off home for some much needed sleep.
