It's time for a toe-tappin', knee-slappin', hootenanny of a good time!
Incredible paintings by local artists, crafts, educational booths, live music, homemade cards, and a book signing by a local author. Broomstick pony races, bubble gum blowin’ contest, hog callin’ contest, rooster crowin’ contest, Wheel of Cake, homemade soap, a Silent Auction, and more. Tour the old Schoolhouse. Fun for the whole family!
MUSCIANS James Hawkins, local folk music singer and songwriter; The Garbage-Me local band, who share sustainability and creativity with our community, playing music on their unique DIY instruments; HARMONY PLUS’s music is influenced by the 60’s and 70’s, and MYAKKA CITY COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA show off with their string instruments.
Pulled pork or chicken, two sides, a roll, and a drink, lunch provided by Southern Smoked by JP. Hot dogs, desserts, and drinks are also available. NO COOLERS, PLEASE.
Proceeds of the event benefit the preservation of the 1914 Old Miakka Schoolhouse.
COME ON OUT TO THE COUNTRY AND CELEBRATE THIS 111-YEAR-OLD HISTORIC BUILDING.
