Solid Waste Authority Greenway Trails Walk

Join Paul for a hike of 3 to 4 miles on the Solid Waste Authority Greenway Trail System.
Someone always reports having a problem locating this one although it is pretty easy. The parking is in a section of the parking lot for the Solid Waste Authority Administrative complex. The pin on the map is correct. It is on the west side of Jog Road between 45th Street and Beeline Highway (710). If you are coming from the south 45th Street curves north and becomes Jog Road at the south trail head of the Greenway. You need to continue north to the Administrative Complex.

The SWA set aside 300 acres for conservation when building the dump. It contains a larger rookery that harbors thousands of native birds including the endangered Snail Kite and threatened Wood Stork (and some giant gators!).
