Tasmania - Fishing Central Highlands Lakes

Looking for advise and suggestions for my 4 night stay at Miena next month. I've googled maps and fishing regs for the various lakes in the area, but am keen on getting some on-the-ground knowledge of land-based fishing spots for a lure/plastics angler. I'll be driving my RAV4 but want to avoid poor tracks and very remote places, as I'll be on my own.

If someone else is heading out that way too, so much the better.

This will be part of a 2 week+ road trip of the island.
