🚫 NEGATIVE behaviour, language or smoking near the group will not be tolerated.
This is a Meetup which involves pre-purchasing $ approx $25 $ your own Saturday 17 August one day entry Coeliac Australia Gluten Free Expo ticket in advance to NSW’s largest 100% gluten-free event here - BUY TICKET.
The Expo itself is indoors, with a few gluten-free street food and food truck vendors outside the picturesque Randwick Racecourse lawn.

From 8.45am: Meet Amelia outside the Expo at Royal Randwick Racecourse (Kensington Room)

9am sharp: The Meetup group will enter the queue to go inside, as the Expo opens at 9am. In pairs or trios, this is the best time to chat, peruse all the stalls and try samples.
10.15am sharp: (Optional) Meet near the food trucks to order an early ‘lunch’, queues can get quite long later on.
10.50am sharp: (Optional) Meet near the education stage to get a seat/stand to hear from Jess Burvill - Dietitian - Healthy Food Guide as Jess discusses ‘Navigating a Gluten-Free Diet: Who needs it and how to make nutritious choices’ from 11am.
Approx 11.30am: (Optional) Quick coffee/drink/snack break.
11.50am sharp: (Optional) Meet near the education stage to get a seat/stand to hear from Dr Vincent Ho who will discuss ‘What’s new in coeliac disease research?‘ from 12pm.
Approx 12.30pm: (Optional) Peruse all the stores with refrigerated/frozen goods, so you can take them with you before you head off.
1.50pm sharp: (Optional) Meet near the education stage to get a seat/stand to hear a Q&A panel on the cost of gluten free foods from 2pm.
There’s no pressure to stay for the entire Expo event - your ticket is valid till it ends at 4pm.

What to bring:
- Wear appropriate footwear.
- Money to make food and drink purchases.
- Umbrella/rain jacket optional.
- Shopping bags are highly recommended.
- For any cool items, cooler bags with ice blocks are highly recommended (some vendors have previously let you reserve items e.g frozen dumplings, to collect when you leave).
Leave when you need to (I will stay until approx. 12.30pm).
GETTING THERE
Driving - There is limited free car parking, subject to availability. A multi-deck car park with all-day parking available for $10/day. Disabled car parking is available but a disabled parking sticker must be prominently displayed in the vehicle at all times.

Public Transport
BUSES
​Plenty of regular route buses run between the City and Eastern Suburbs via Anzac Parade and Alison Road to get you to Randwick Racecourse, including Routes 339, 373, 374, 376 and 377.
LIGHT RAIL
The L2 Randwick Line light rail services runs between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Catch a light rail service to the Royal Randwick stop on Alison Road which is opposite the racecourse main entrance. Services run regularly from 5am until 1am on weekdays and weekends. During major events, additional express shuttle services will also run.
