We did this one awhile back and it is a favorite.

Wills-Rice Loop Trail is a 4.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Ojai, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate.

Meet at the Oso Trailhead - 1290 Meyer Road in Ojai

Meyer road ends and curves right to Oso Road. Instead of following the curve onto Oso, continue driving straight through an open gate that looks like it must be private property, but does in fact have a very small sign. It is perpendicular to the entrance of a horse (riding? boarding?) place. Once you enter through the gate you will see horses (from that same horse place) on your left side and have to navigate some speed bumps. That will bring you to the parking lot. Feel free to send me a message if you’re not clear on where to go once you reach that curve

Meet in the parking lot. I will be wearing a bright blue backpack.

Bring: water, sunscreen, hat, bug repellent, water shoes or a small towel are optional as there is a water crossing

After: For those who have time for some lunch after we’ll head over to the Deer Lodge
