Rheinsteig (famous hiking trail) to Koblenz with spectacular firework at the end

Details
We start hiking up the Ruppertsklamm, which is one of the highlights of the Rheinsteig. It is a canyon along a creek. As we hike very close to the creek, you need waterproof shoes. From the peak of the canyon, we hike to Fort Asterein. We continue to Fort Ehrenbreitstein, a large fort on a rock above Koblenz. We hike down to the center of Koblenz and to the famous Kaiser Wilhelm monument, the point where the Mosel flows into the Rhein. We stay in that area to see the fireworks above Fort Ehrenbreitstein.
We meet in Fra Hbf at 11:40 at the beginning of platform 22 for RB10 departing at 11:53. You should have a Deutschlandticket to participate, as a return ticket to there will be more expensive.
The distance is ca. 18 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. Bring enough to drink and lunch for the way with you. There are many possibilities for beverages and food at the end.
Disclaimer: The weather forecast predicts mostly sunny, but take precaution for changing conditions. It is an outdoor activity and I can only estimate when we reach the destination. There will be photos taken by the organizer (and probably others) at nice spots. GDPR clause: By participating you agree to be on group and other photos where you are not the main motive.
